Born and raised in Alabama, Ginny graduated from the University of Alabama and is a huge ROLL TIDE fan!  After graduating, she moved to Houston and went to work in the oil industry.  Knowing only one person in Houston when moving here, the relocation was quite a change.  But after working for 5 years with the International Assoc. of Drilling Contractors, she decided to get her Real Estate license and she opened an apartment locating business with a good friend in 1984.

 Apartment Directions, Inc. started out strictly as an apartment locating company but within 2 years her business partner relocated to Kentucky.  Ginny expanded the company into other divisions which specialized in different areas of relocation services.  Offering professional, one-on-one, personal assistance to transferees who were leasing as opposed to buying moved her company to the forefront of locating services.  As the company grew, she joined HAR (Houston Association of Realtors) and expanded the leasing services to private listings as well including condominiums, high rises, and lofts, as well as homes.  This led to other services such as residential sales, property management, and corporate lodging.  All these divisions specialized in prompt, courteous, personal attention to each individual’s personal situation.

Over the years, Ginny has had the honor of working with special programs initiating home buyer assistance for the development of low income families along with the Antioch Baptist Church making affordable homes near downtown an opportunity for many families.  She was also the first locator to work with the Teach For America program helping hundreds of teachers move into the greater Houston area and her company has continued with that program every year since.  Ginny also has had the privilege of working with many high profile professionals whose careers have brought them to Houston such as sports athletes and network broadcasting people.  And it has been exciting to give so many of these people continued service as they come back to her when they continue to buy/sell or relocate over the years or handle their personal referrals of close friends and contacts.  In fact, many of her customers have become some of her closest friends.
